The word Baca means "ring", which explains why the signature of each artist who created a decor, appears in a circle on the basis of each piece of the series. The butterfly decoration, dated 1966, is due to Nils Thorsson himself.
This piece, rare, is in perfect condition. Danish ceramic butterfly egg-shaped tabletop piece vase. Nils Johan Thorvald Thorsson (1898 - 1975) Ceramic artist and designer for Royal Copenhagen. Nils joined Royal Copenhagen as an apprentice in 1912, and graduated from the royal Danish Academy in 1917. He went on to become Royal Copenhagen's most prolific designer.
